Treating everyone like family!

memory care

Kari Elliason

The Family Residence was inspired by Kari Elliason who noticed the void in options when looking for a place for her beloved Aunt with dementia. She was discouraged with the traditional nursing home setting and wanted something smaller and more personalized. She discovered options for residential care homes in the Twin Cities, but quickly learned that most have long waiting lists. There also were no residential care homes in her own community of Northfield. She decided to dedicate herself to creating a residential care home in Northfield to serve individuals with memory care needs in her community. Kari has been a Registered Nurse for 24 years and has her certificate as a Whole Health Nurse Educator. She is passionate about caring for the whole person from a holistic approach. She has special training and education in caring for individuals with memory loss.

Kari values every resident and staff member and strives to treat everyone like family.
